Gill Mason speaks on panel about Early Years workforce

Our very own Gill Mason featured on a panel of experts today to take a closer look at the challenges and opportunities that are impacting the current Early Years workforce.

As part of a series hosted that NCFE are hosting in partnership with FE News, with an overarching focus on the ‘Future of Work’, this episode puts the spotlight on Early Years and childcare.

The panel debate what the future of work looks like for childcare, as well as looking at the key skills gaps that we’re seeing, and the transferable skills that will help individuals to enter and progress within the sector.

Gill Mason, Head of Training at Kids Planet, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the vitally important role the early years workforce play in society. It’s important to highlight the many challenges and opportunities facing the workforce and the discussion touched on important issues including recruitment, raising the status of the workforce, and future skills and sustainability.”
