Kids Planet supports #WeAreEducators campaign

We are delighted to be supporting the new and empowering campaign from Early Years Alliance #WeAreEducators, to recognise and celebrate the knowledge, expertise and professionalism of the early years workforce.

Here at Kids Planet, we understand that childcare is a profession, staff are educators, and with the current recruitment crisis, it’s more important than ever to highlight how early years is a career path and those working in early years are recognized as education professionals.

Gill Mason, Head of Training and Development at Kids Planet Day Nurseries, said:

The first five years of a child’s life are of critical importance and thus the sector needs a talented and knowledgeable early years workforce to support their long-term learning and development.

Kids Planet is passionate about raising and professionalising the early years workforce at all levels. We want everyone to view early years as a career with clear development and progression routes; a sector in which our people play a key role in ensuring that the quality of early years education continues to be raised into the future.

We believe that if we want to attract and retain staff in early years we need to provide the opportunities to gain excellent training and progression opportunities thus we offer a myriad of opportunities through our academy.”

Kids Planet Training Academy was launched in 2018 and has purpose built premises situated in Knutsford, Cheshire, as well as satellite centres across the North West. We are proud to have achieved excellent apprenticeship success and retention rates.

With the growth of the company and increased applications from learners wanting to undertake an apprentice at Kids Planet, the Training Academy has gone from strength to strength, and we even recently came 21^st in the list of Top 100 Apprentice Employers in the UK for 2022.

We look forward to continued involvement in this positive campaign, involving our staff and children within our nurseries across the UK.
